Angelito Collective Co founder

The Angelito Collective, a dynamic production house deeply rooted in community empowerment. Based in the heart of New York City, we are a passionate initiative owned and operated by Black and Brown Women, dedicated to creating space and equity within the Arts and Culture arenas for Trans individuals worldwide, leveraging the transformative power of Fashion and Media.

As The Angelito Collective continues to grow, our commitment to collaboration remains steadfast. We welcome community-oriented individuals, organizations, and brands to join us on this transformative journey. Together, we can drive resources and support to create unparalleled opportunities for our siblings to come together, forge meaningful connections, and build a vibrant network of empowerment.

At The Angelito Collective, we embrace the intersectionality of our work, fostering a close connection to Food Sovereignty efforts. As part of our commitment to uplifting and celebrating our community of Black Trans Siblings, we have embarked on a unique and inclusive journey: the creation of our signature dinner party series.

What began as intimate gatherings of 15-20 gender-expansive individuals has blossomed beyond our wildest expectations, becoming a cherished community staple. These dinners are more than just culinary experiences; they are an activation of love, acceptance, and support for our community.

To make these events a reality, we rely solely on the power of community. Through crowdfunding efforts, we have raised the necessary funds, approximately $5,000 per event, to make each gathering truly special. These financial contributions enable us to source the freshest ingredients, ensuring a delightful culinary experience. Additionally, we offer safe transportation from all boroughs of NYC, ensuring that every member of our community can partake in these joyous occasions. We take pride in our mutual aid approach, as each guest receives at least $100 to support their unique needs.

Central to our mission is the spirit of volunteerism, as all our services are provided by passionate individuals who share our vision for a more inclusive and equitable world. Generous donations of homes and community centers have been graciously offered, making each evening a warm and welcoming affair.

Recently, our impact has extended beyond the local community, as we were invited to showcase our work at the prestigious Milan Fashion Film Festival. Recognition for our film, "Cion Mami," further fuels our determination to break barriers and pave the way for meaningful change. We are also humbled to have presented this film at the esteemed Brooklyn Museum, spreading our message to a wider audience.

At The Angelito Collective, we believe in the power of unity, creativity, and love to make a difference. Join us as we continue to push boundaries, celebrate diversity, and empower Trans individuals in the world of Arts and Culture. Together, we can build a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
